When we discovered Golden Hill Fort (c.1863) was being disposed of by receivers, we did not hesitate in contacting one of our most active investors to ensure we could secure the acquisition. Even though the asset was given a break-up value of £4.2m, we completed the purchase at £2.68m, reflecting a 36% discount to market value. This resulted in it being a runner up for Deal of the Year at the RESI Awards 2019.
